Amazon Glossary. Part 3

If you’re already selling on Amazon or are just planning to start, you could definitely use some knowledge of terms.

Inventory
Inventory – is the items you list for sale on Amazon. Inventory is Amazon’s inventory management, which allows businesses to keep track of all their remaining items and orders and replenish inventory in a timely manner.

IP claim
Intellectual property (IP) claims arise when a brand owner files an IP complaint with Amazon regarding a particular ASIN. Thus, brand owners claim that Amazon sellers who sell their product under a particular detail page are infringing intellectual property rights.
Amazon shifts the responsibility for enforcing intellectual property rights to Amazon sellers. Multiple complaints can result in account suspension.search results.

MSRP
MSRP – is the manufacturer’s suggested retail price. It is the price at which the manufacturer offers their products for sale. It is displayed above the selling price on Amazon when the item’s price is less than the MSRP.

PL (Private Label)
Private label products are products created by one company to be sold under another brand.
If you sell a private label product on Amazon, you are a private label seller.
PL sellers find a product with high sales and create their own unique brand out of it to sell on Amazon.

RA (Retail Arbitrage)
Retail Arbitrage – this model of selling on Amazon involves sourcing cheaper items from retail stores to then resell them at a higher price on Amazon for a profit.
